New Music: Trouble feat. The Weeknd – ‘Come Thru’

Posted by Unknown on 11:33 AM

Trouble meets The Weeknd.

After joining Drake on “Bring It Back,” the latest Eardruma taps the XO boss for “Come Thru,” a standout track off his just-released Edgewood mixtape. Mike WiLL Made-It teams with 30Roc and Aubz Made-It for a soulful instrumental, accentuated by moving piano keys.

The somber sound bed works in concert with Trouble. He recalls “ducking bullets” in the past, while bringing “smoke” to his enemies. “I keep guns and ganja close,” he raps matter-of-factly. “I keep funds, but I don’t boast / I know what it’s like to not have shit, and ain’t a bitch I owe.”

Abel’s contributions are subtle but stirring. He drops additional vocals in the background, combining harmonies with Trouble’s grit. He also asks his girl for details in the process. “What time you want a ni**a to come?” he asks. “You must want a ni**a to come.”

Edgewood is a 16-song project that also features production from Mike WiLL Made-It. It arrived on Mike’s birthday with guest appearances from Drizzy, Quavo, Fetty Wap, Boosie, and many more.
