Auto |video| Car Controlled By I-Pad

Posted by Unknown on 5:19 PM

The future will soon be here when it comes to cars. The idea of controlling a car by I-pad is pretty cool I must admit, but there is still alot of things that need to be done before the car is out on the open roads with no driver. These dudes in Russia used their brains to program their ride with the Ipad 3. Check out the video after the jump.

Auto |PHOTOS| The 50th Anniversary Lamborghini Is Here, And It’s MEEANN!!

Posted by Unknown on 8:27 PM

Everyone has eagerly been anticipating what Lamborghini would do for it’s 50th year anniversary car. Nobody knew what to expect, but everyone knew to expect something huge. And holy sh*t, they did not disappoint. Maybe one of the craziest looking Lamborghini’s ever ( in a good way ) The all new Lamborghini Veneno is out of this world. It literally looks like a car from the future made out of transformers! Interestingly enough, the name “Veneno” comes from a fighting bull that reportedly gained notoriety in 1914 when it killed a matador. If you haven’t realized, they like to name their cars after bulls. And the name Veneno makes sense here. A beast like that should share the name of a car that has 750HP and a top speed of 220mph. Now even if you were super rich and can afford the price tag of $3.9 million, you still wouldn’t be able to own one. The supercar company has commited to making only 3 this year. Yes, literally only 3 of these amazing rides will be made, and all 3 already have an owner waiting, which makes this car maybe one of the most exclusive cars ever made in history. The official release was at the Geneva Auto Show today, hit the gallery after the jump for more pics.

|video| Toyota's "i-Road" Futuristic Car Of The Future ??

Posted by Unknown on 8:19 PM

Toyota is taking the whole Eco-Car craze to another level. In fact, it’s not even a car, its more like a small personal space that Toyota calls a “Personal Mobility Vehicle”. Driver and passenger sit front to back, not side by side. This allows the vehicle to barely be a few feet wide. The I-ROAD, which is the official name, will be debuted tomorrow at the Geneva Auto Show. It only has 3 wheels, and you somewhat ride it like a motorcycle, especially on turns, when your actually tilting the vehicle just like you would a bike, although Toyota has side the driver won’t physically be the one to tilt the car, it will happen on it’s own via some sensors on the car. This is a 100% pure electric car, there is no gas as a backup or anything like that. More info will be released on the car soon, but for now watch the video of them in action after the jump.

Stop At Red Lights & Now Yellow Too??

Posted by Unknown on 2:28 PM

Be happy you don’t live in China. Unless you do, and if so I feel sorry for you if you drive there. As of January 1st, 2013, A new nationwide law went into effect in China requiring drivers to stop at YELLOW lights, as well as red. This pretty much defeats the purpose of having a yellow light, but hey, what do I know. The law was put into effect with the hopes of significantly reducing the number of traffic related deaths in the country. On average, about 250,000 people die each year in road related accidents in China. That is an extremely high number. So hopefully this helps, even though I am sure they could of came up with other ways. Hit the link after the jump for more.

GM Could Lose $918 Million In Lawsuit

Posted by Unknown on 2:14 PM

Sounds like GM is about to have some problems. A judge is looking into the possibility that when GM took a buyout from the government in 2009 and had the company restructured, that a huge chunk of the money was purposely diverted to hedge fund holders. This was done without many people knowing, and also at the expense of other creditors. If the judge decides that this was improper, he could open up the lawsuit which could wind up costing GM close to a BILLION dollars. Hit the link after the jump.

Infiniti Clarifies New Car Names Even Further

Posted by Unknown on 5:49 PM

We reported yesterday that Infiniti announced they were changing the names of all their vehicles starting with the 2014 models. I like the move, it simplifies things within their own brand. There has been alot of buzz surrounding the announcement, and even some confusion as to which new names belong to which vehicles. Infiniti took to their facebook page today to explain it even easier with a picture of the cars and the names. Take a look at the pic above in the gallery.

Qualcomm Wants To Bring Wi-Fi To Cars!

Posted by Unknown on 12:56 AM

It looks like Qualcomm wants to make wi-fi standard on newer cars. Qualcomm want car owners to download apps for their smartphone to work their phones and not vice versa. Making a car totally equiped with Wifi could change game. Being able to download music, movies, and apps could make things like road trips more enjoyable. I hope Qualcomm can make this happen sooner than later. Lets just work on the gas prices next.

|video| What’s it like to go over 260 mph in an 20-year-old Audi S4? Watch this

Posted by Unknown on 1:19 AM

There are an infinite number of impressive aspects to getting a 1992 Audi to clip past the 260-mph barrier. For starters, there’s the fact that Jeff Gerner managed to milk a full 1,100 horsepower from the five-cylinder S4 before shuttling the power to the ground via an all-wheel drive system without vaporizing an axle. That alone deserves a round of applause, but for us, the most awe-inspiring aspect of the feat is just how smooth and drama-free the salt flat run was.
