Boosie Badazz & Kevin Gates Squash Beef

Posted by Unknown on 11:36 AM

Boosie Badazz and Kevin Gates are putting an end to their feud. Nearly two years after an alleged altercation between their camps, the Baton Rouge rappers show solidarity in the face of legal issues.

Taking to Instagram Live, Badazz revealed that he’s been in talks with K.G. to perform at his inaugural Boosie Bash festival. “Talked to Gates earlier,” he said. “Trying to get that boy to come to that Boosie Bash. Tryin’ to pull it off for him. Gotta let the man travel. Man gotta pay his taxes.”

In the caption, he added: “THE CITY NEEDS THIS!!!! #BoosieBash2018 Say a prayer tonight that he’s allowed to travel ASAP…BIGGEST SHOW LOUISIANA HAS EVER SEEN.”

In 2016, camps associated with Boosie and Gates were allegedly involved in a scuffle on stage at the Derby Takeover Pt. 2 event in Louisville. There was tension before as well. In 2009, Gates’ affiliate Nussie was murdered and one person claimed that Boosie ordered the hit, as per XXL. Badazz was later found not guilty.

Gates’ travel restrictions stem from legal issues. He was released from prison in January, after serving nine months of a 30-month sentence for a weapons-related warrant. He is under mandatory supervision and is restricted from possessing any firearms.

The inaugural Boosie Bash is set to take place March 10 at F.G. Clark Activity Center in Baton Rouge. So far, the lineup includes Boosie Badazz, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Blac Youngsta, and YFN Lucci, among others.
