Ari Lennox steps into the spotlight with her debut album Shea Butter Baby, which arrives today via Dreamville/Interscope Records.
The D.C.-born singer-songwriter has become one to watch following the release of her breakout single, “Shea Butter Baby,” which also appears on the Creed II soundtrack.
The 12-track album features appearances from Dreamville’s own JID (“Broke”) and Cole, who guests on the title track and co-produced “Facetime,” plus production from Elite, Christo, Jaylen Rojas, and Masego, who produced the new single “Up Late.”
Cole, who signed Lennox to Dreamville in late 2015, shared support for his signee. “Ari Lennox the future,” he tweeted. “This shit crazy crazyyy.”
