Drake was courtside as the Toronto Raptors beat the Milwaukee Bucks to advance to the NBA Finals during Saturday’s Playoffs.
The Raptors’ global ambassador dressed for the occasion, channeling Tupac Shakur’s iconic look from Above the Rim. Drizzy donned black jeans and a black hoodie with “100 Miles” written in cursive and a black bandana around his neck. ‘Pac wore the same outfit during the tournament scenes in the 1994 basketball film, where he starred as Birdie, a local drug dealer.
Both Drake and Tupac’s fit was made by Toronto’s 100 Miles Clothing Brand, but it doesn’t come cheap. The hoodie, which is available in black and white, costs $200.
While Tupac’s team in the movie took an L, Drizzy cheered the Raptors to a victory. His home team won 100-94 against the Bucks and will face off against the Golden State Warriors in the Finals.
But not everyone was celebrating Drizzy’s outfit choice. “The disrespect to pac,” wrote one Instagram commenter, will another added, “Tupac wore it better tho.”
Earlier in the week, the Raptors presented the 6 God with a one-of-a-kind sports jacket covered in 235 handset diamonds. The custom outerwear was designed by Toronto tailor Garrison Bespoke and is valued at $550,000.
