J. Cole Stops Fans From Dissing Lil Pump & 6ix9ine

Posted by Unknown on 8:36 PM

J. Cole stops the bashing. Over the weekend, Jermaine stopped fans from dissing Lil Pump and 6ix9ine at the JMBLYA Fest, where he was performing “1985 (Intro to ‘The Fall Off’).”

Cole World stopped performing the KOD song, which many saw as a diss track for Lil Pump. When he did, fans in attendance began to chant “Fuck Lil Pump.” But Cole disapproved of that. “Nah, don’t do that,” he asked them. He also stopped others from chanting, “Fuck 6ix9ine.” “Don’t say that,” he added.

After halting the chants, Cole proceeded to spit the lyrics for “1985” a cappella. “Come here lil’ man, let me talk witcha,” he raps. “See if I could paint for you the large picture / Congrats ’cause you made it out ya mama house / I hope you make enough to buy your mom a house.”

Other rappers haven’t been as kind to Jermaine. Pump also seemed to think “1985” was about him. “Wow,” he said after the song dropped. “So much props. You dissed a 17-year-old. Lame ass jit.” He also released an entire song called “Fuck J. Cole,” which repeats the phrase over and over. Additionally, Smokepurpp had fans chant “Fuck J. Cole” at one of his concerts before dissing him on a remix to Kanye West’s “Lift Yourself.”

Cole performed at all three JMBLYA dates over the weekend. Featuring Migos, Young Thug, and Kevin Gates, the fest began in Dallas on May 4, before stopping in Austin on May 5, and closing out in Houston on May 6.

Cole World is now reportedly prepping a deluxe version of KOD as well as an album as his alter ego kiLL Edward.
