50 Cent goes “Crazy” on his new single featuring PnB Rock.
Over thunderous drums, the G-Unit mogul analyzes his life, reflects on his exhaustion, and goes through family quarrels with his son. “I woke up this morning, really wasn’t feeling myself,” he explains. “Thought about suicide, but me, I ain’t killing myself.”
Following PnB Rock’s melodic chorus about “going crazy,” Fif keeps digging into his personal life. He also grapples with his beloved grandparents’ health. He even looks back on his estranged friend Lloyd Banks and Eminem’s ill-fated romance with Kim.
More importantly, “Crazy” allows 50 Cent to look in a mirror. He self-assesses all of these things while weighing his sanity. “It feels like I’m God’s punching bag on occasions,” he raps. “Amazing how other days I feel like I’m his favorite.”
Taking to Instagram, 50 spoke about his latest track. “l make it feel different,” he wrote. “it’s all real you don’t have to lie and say what sounds good on every song.”
More music is on the way. In November, he enlisted Jeremih for “Still Think I’m Nothing.” Earlier this year, he said he was working hard on his long-awaited album Street King Immortal. “Right now I’m in the middle of recording my sixth album,” he told The New York Times. “But it’s as thrilling as my first.”
