YoungBoy Never Broke Again Denied Bail on Kidnapping & Assault Charges

Posted by Unknown on 2:31 PM

YoungBoy Never Broke Again was arrested on charges of kidnapping and assault in Tallahassee on Saturday (Feb. 24) after a surveillance video appeared to show him body slamming his girlfriend Jania Jackson in a hotel hallway, and pulling her into the room against her wishes. Now, a judge has ordered that he remain in jail without bail.

Formerly known as NBA YoungBoy, the 18-year-old burgeoning rapper from Baton Rouge has been transferred to Ware County Jail in Georgia, where he is facing felony kidnapping and aggravated assault (family violence) charges in connection with the incident, according to Billboard.

Jackson has denied that the surveillance footage, which was released by TMZ, showed an actual struggle. Instead, she said that the couple was just “playing” around, despite what appeared to be a harrowing case of domestic abuse.

“That’s just us,” she said in a series of live-streamed videos. “That’s how we like to play…Kidnapped? Fuck no. Nobody getting kidnapped. Has he ever put his hands on me? Fuck no. Do we play a lot? Fuck yeah. We 18! We’re 18. What do y’all expect? Mind y’all business.”

YoungBoy is on the verge of releasing his debut album Until Death Call My Name, which is set to arrive on Friday (March 2). “I just want to strive to be the best man I can be,” he said of the album when it was announced. “I want to spend as much time with my children and family as I can. I want to keep working on all of this music every day. I just want to go as hard as I can until death calls my name.”
