Wendy Williams Blasted Over Beyoncé Criticism

Posted by Unknown on 1:30 PM

The BeyHive is swarming around Wendy Williams. Fans are currently criticizing the controversial talk show host over comments she made about Beyoncé while discussing Fergie’s botched “Star-Spangled Banner” performance.

During the show, Williams said that there are “only a few people who can sing raw dog,” including Adele, Aretha Franklin, Celine Dion, Dionne Warwick, and Mariah Carey. “Fergie is not one,” she said. “She needs Auto-Tune. Jen Lopez needs Auto-Tune. Janet needs Auto-Tune. Beyoncé needs Auto-Tune.”

Fans immediately took issue with the comments. “Wendy Williams said Beyonce can’t sing without autotune… I almost smacked her through the tv screen,” said one user. “WENDY WILLIAMS SAID BEYONCÉ NEEDS AUTO TUNE ITS OVER FOR THIS HOE,” added another. Many also pointed out that Bey has successfully performed the anthem in the past.

Bashing Bey is not new to Wendy. In 2012, she insulted the global superstar’s education and communication skills. “You know Beyoncé can’t talk,” she said. “Beyoncé sounds like she has a fifth-grade education. She can’t talk.”

In 2016, she criticized Beyoncé for releasing LEMONADE days after Prince’s passing. “Quite frankly, I wish Beyoncé had held off on the album after Prince,” she said. “Like, the weekend had blown over.”

Last year, she also made controversial comments about Beyoncé’s pregnancy with Rumi and Sir. “Twins are a very rare thing by natural bio, so I’d be mad if I was a mom who naturally gave birth to twins because now anybody could do it,” she said. “I’m not suggesting Beyoncé had help or anything like that, but I’m just pointing out anybody could do it. It’s kind of upsetting these days, that all the things that used to be so unique are not unique because all you have to do is swipe a credit card and make it happen.”
