Miguel Performs ‘Sky Walker’ on ‘The Tonight Show’

Posted by Unknown on 1:21 PM

Don’t sleep, you gotta stay up. Upon the release of his fourth studio album, War & Leisure, Miguel lit up “The Tonight Show” with a show-stopping performance of “Sky Walker.”

Travis Scott couldn’t be there for the performance, but the California crooner handled it on his own with a giant parachute floating behind him. Once the parachute dropped, his band members rocked out with him for a thrilling finale. “That’s how you do it,” said host Jimmy Fallon. “That is how you do it!”

Today, Miguel also unleashes the video for “Now,” which was filmed in Adelanto, Calif. where the state’s “largest immigrant prison” is located, according to the video, which plays out like a mini documentary about the undocumented experience in America.

“To see innocent people being ripped from their way of life to essentially be incarcerated and used as cheap labor is really crazy,” Miguel explains in the clip, which features interviews, testimonials, and protests. “It’s the time now to speak out, and not only speak out, but do something about what we believe in if we want to see the change.”

War & Leisure is now available to stream, with appearances from J. Cole, Rick Ross, and Kali Uchis.
