(Photo) NBA: Joel Embiid Had A Great Response To Not Being Selected For The All Star Game

The NBA All-Star reserves were announced yesterday and surprising to most, Joel Embiid was left off the roster for the eastern conference. Despite averaging just under 20 points per game to go along with 8 rebounds per game, while only playing about 25 minutes each game, he was left off the roster for the likes of Paul Millsap. If Embiid played even 7-8 minutes more per game, his averages would destroy Millsap’s numbers. Rather than being salty about not being selected, Embiid chose to handle it with some humor.

Embiid was hoping he could be named an all-star so he could possibly finally land a date with Rihanna but that dream came crashing down last night.

He then compared him not making the team to the outcome of the recent Presidential election.

In the popular (fan) vote, Embiid had finished third among frontcourt players in the East, which if it was only based on that, would’ve made him a starter.

Embiid shouldn’t worry too much because likely by this time next year he will be one of the biggest forces in the conference and making the all-star game will become a yearly thing for him.
