Leading up to its release, he dropped a series of singles including “Verify” with Young Thug and “Hot for Me” featuring Lil Keed and Lil Gotit.
King of R&B is also expected to feature collaborations with Summer Walker (“Superstar”), Lil Baby (“Your Peace”), Ty Dolla $ign (“Cross the Line”), and Future (“What They Gone Do With Me”). Jacquees had previously announced plans to release the album under the title Round 2 in July.
“It’s more mature,” he told Power 106 of the follow-up to his 2018 debut 4275. “It’s not just strictly sex. I’m kinda digging deeper, it’s relationship, it’s love.”
