The song had already been recorded before Nicki jumped on the track following their Instagram Live session. “We just went live together and she literally recorded her verse that night,” Meg told E!’s “Daily Pop.” “They sent the song to me and I was like, ‘This is not real life. Y’all are playing right now.'”
“Hot Girl Summer” peaked at No. 11 and is currently No. 48 on the Hot 100. Megan is currently opening for Future and Meek Mill on their “Legendary Nights Tour,” which wraps Oct. 5 in Las Vegas.
