T.I. Thinks 6ix9ine Will Be Welcomed Back Despite Snitching

Posted by Unknown on 2:27 PM

6ix9ine put his life and reputation on the line when he decided to cooperate with prosecutors in his federal racketeering case.

While the “FEFE” rapper has faced backlash and humiliation on social media for his snitching, T.I. doesn’t think it will hinder his career in the long run.

During an interview with Big Boy on REAL 92.3 earlier this week, Tip weighed in on Tekashi’s testimony. “He can’t go back to the hood after snitching,” said the co-host.

“Yes, he can,” replied Tip. “It’s a bunch of rats walking ’round right now. And that’s the thing that really hurts. That’s what really hurt my feelings.”

The Grand Hustle boss brought up his own weapons charges from 2007 and mentioned that he would have faced repercussions by now if he had snitched. He thinks there are still people who will have no problem embracing Tekashi once he comes home.

“They riding ’round with somebody who they know done told in they hood right now, because, ‘Well, he didn’t tell on me,'” said Tip. “This cat can come home and throw parties and the party be popping. It be full. So if muthafuckas weren’t fucking with rats, how in the hell is this party so packed? And everybody know how cuz came home. Everybody know what happened.”

6ix9ine testified against his former Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods associates Aljermiah “Nuke” Mack and Anthony “Harv” Ellison as part of his plea agreement. During his three-day testimony, he also identified Cardi B, Jim Jones, Casanova, and Trippie Redd as gang members. He is expected to receive a reduced sentence for his cooperation.

“I knew he wasn’t going to do no long periods of time in no RICO case,” said T.I. “I didn’t know it was going to happen as soon as it did. I thought it was gonna have a longer run. I thought the run would have been longer. I didn’t know that it would come to such an abrupt halt.”

6ix9ine’s snitching hasn’t been well received from the hip-hop community including 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg, who clowned him on social media. “He’s his mother’s child now,” 50 told “The Breakfast Club.” “After you do shit like that, you’re your mama’s child. Don’t call me.”

Watch T.I. weigh in on Tekashi at the 54-minute mark.
