Offset wants that old thing back.
Just one week after Cardi B announced she and her husband were calling it quits after over a year of marriage, Offset issued a public apology on Instagram, begging his wife to come back.
“I only got one birthday wish and that’s to get my wife back Cardi,” said Offset, who celebrated his 27th birthday on Friday (Dec. 14).
“We’re going through a lot of things right now, a lot of things in the media. I want to apologize to you, Cardi. I embarrassed you. I made you look crazy.”
He also addressed his alleged infidelity. “I was partaking in activity that I shouldn’t have been taking in, and I apologize. You know what I’m saying? For breaking your heart, for breaking our promise, for breaking God’s promise, and being a selfish, messed up husband.”
He vowed to change his ways. “I’m trying to be a better person. I want to get this off my shoulders,” he added. “I want to get this off my back. I apologize to you Cardi. I love you and Kulture.”
He also said that he wants to spend the holidays with his wife and 5-month-old daughter. “I want to spend Christmas with you,” he said. “I want to be able to spend the rest of my life with you. I apologize. I’m sorry for what I’ve done to you. I didn’t f**k that girl, but I was entertaining it, you know what I’m saying? I apologize, and I love you, and I hope you forgive me. My birthday wish is just to have you back.”
Cardi has not responded to Offset, but she previously said that she was planning to get a divorce. “It’s nobody’s fault I guess we just grew out of love, but we are not together anymore,” she said in a since-deleted Instagram video. “It might take time to get a divorce and I’m going to always have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter’s father.”
Offset was accused of cheating with another woman, Summer Bunni, after allegedly asking to arrange a threesome that would include rapper Cuban Doll. “I have not messed with Offset since he’s had his baby,” an apologetic Bunni told TMZ in a tearful video. “I didn’t know how serious this marriage was. A lot of girls would just deal with this situation and just be like, ‘Yo, I’m the reason they’re getting a divorce.'”
