Travis Scott Talks ‘Scary’ Baby Delivery & Broadway-Inspired Album on ‘Ellen’

Posted by Unknown on 1:45 PM

Travis Scott lit up daytime television with a visit to “Ellen” on Monday (Nov. 12).

During the sit-down interview, the Houston rapper was served drinks off his rider including Moët, Don Julio, Hennessy, and Ciroc. After taking a shot and gifting Ellen with a pair of his Nike Air Force 1 Lows, Stormi’s dad gushed about fatherhood.

“She’s so animated,” he said of his 9-month-old daughter with Kylie Jenner. “She’s like running around the house right now on this new walker and she’s turning into a full-blown runner.”

He also opened up about the “scary” delivery room experience. Kris Jenner (“Mama KJ”) was on hand to help delivery the baby. “She held me down ’cause it was so scary,” said Travis. “This is actually my first delivery room and she’s walking me through this whole process. There’s this thing called the placenta that I’ve been hearing about. I was fearful of that, but I cut the umbilical chord.”

He admitted that he was “nervous and scared” about becoming a father. “When you first have a baby in your arms, it’s uncontrollable,” he said. “It’s this whole warp that just takes over your body. I never thought I could love something so hard.”

Ellen also brought up his thespian past. In high school, Travis was in Thespian Society and starred in the play “Kiss Me, Kate.” He then performed part of the song “Too Darn Hot” from the musical. “I love Broadway,” he said. “It’s super dope. It’s fire.”

His love for Broadway may even inspire his next album. “I was thinking my next album, I do a play for a whole week, just design a whole play around my album.”

Plus, La Flame hit the stage for a performance of his Astroworld smash “Sicko Mode.”
