John Legend Announces Christmas Album, Tour

Posted by Unknown on 2:54 PM

It’s beginning to look a lot like A Legendary Christmas.

John Legend has announced his first Christmas album, which will be released by Columbia Records on Oct. 26. Executive produced by Raphael Saadiq, the project features six original tracks and four classic Christmas songs including “What Christmas Means to Me” featuring Stevie Wonder on harmonica and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” a duet with Esperanza Spalding.

To go along with the announcement, the EGOT winner shared a festive trailer featuring footage from the packaging photo shoot and recording sessions, as well as album snippets. His wife Chrissy Teigen and two children, daughter Luna and son Miles, also make cameos.

In support of the album, Legend will embark on “A Legendary Christmas Tour.” The 25-date trek kicks off Nov. 15 in Clearwater, Fla. and will hit cities including Atlanta, New York, and Los Angeles, wrapping Dec. 30 in San Diego.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, Oct. 5. A pre-sale is available now.
