The hip-hop community is mourning the loss of Mac Miller. Following his tragic death on Friday (Sept. 7), Drake and G-Eazy paid tribute to the late rapper during their shows.

The 6 God, who was in Boston for his “Aubrey and the Three Migos Tour,” dedicated Friday’s concert to the beloved MC. “Tonight, I want to dedicate this show to my late friend Mac Miller, who was always a kind man to me through this whole journey,” said Drake before launching into his Scorpion song “Emotionless.”

G-Eazy also honored his late friend during his “Endless Summer Tour” at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa, Fla. The Oakland rapper delivered an emotionally-charged performance of his Kehlani collaboration “Everything Will Be OK” while a photo of Miller was displayed on screen.

“Performed everything will be ok for you tonight and fuckin broke down on stage,” G-Eazy later wrote on Instagram. “Rest peacefully bro, we miss you.”

Earlier in the day, G-Eazy reflected on the tragic loss. “Completely devastated and heart broken I’m at a loss for words mac you were like a brother to me and were there for me in the hardest of times, especially this summer,” he said. “I can’t believe this is real. Please tell your friends and the people you care about you love them life is so fucking fragile. You will be missed and your music will live on forever through the millions of people you touched. Thank you for all you gave us, love you bro.”

Miller’s other friends and peers including J. Cole, Chance the Rapper, Snoop Dogg, Future, and Big Sean also took to social media to mourn the loss and pen heartfelt tributes.

Miller died of an apparent drug overdose on Friday at the age of 26. Following his death, his family released a statement. “Malcolm McCormick, known and adored by fans as Mac Miller, has tragically passed away at the age of 26,” reads the statement. “He was a bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans. Thank you for your prayers. Please respect our privacy. There are no further details as to the cause of his death at this time.”
