Lil Wayne Warns Concertgoers He Has Shooters

Posted by Unknown on 5:39 PM

Don’t mess with Weezy. The Young Money chief issued a stern warning to fans during a performance over the weekend.

While performing “A Milli” at the Cannabis Cup on Saturday (Apr. 21) in San Bernardino, Calif., Tunechi asked his DJ to stop the music. “Y’all throwing stuff on stage,” he said. “I don’t know if it’s love, or y’all trying to promote something, but I’m from New Orleans and we don’t know how to accept that shit. I got New Orleans people with me and all they know how to throw back is shoot. They’ll just shoot.”

Last year, Weezy cut a performance short after a fan threw a drink onstage. This time, however, he simply left fans with the warning. “I don’t want to end this show in a bad way,” he added. “So let’s just keep it going. Don’t throw nothing at me.” The concert continued and Weezy apparently completed his set without any more troubles.

During the aforementioned 2017 incident, Tunechi told fans he had a “goon squad” ready to retaliate in the event of an attack. “I don’t know if you thought I was a buster, but I’m rich, so I can’t throw nothing back,” he said. “Goon squad, come here…Every goon that’s with me, come here, man…Throw that shit back at them. Throw all the shit back at these ni**as.”

One month later, Tunechi called on his “goon squad” once more. The rapper’s bodyguards tackled an overzealous stage crasher at Rolling Loud in Miami.

Despite his legal battle, Lil Wayne continues to perform. He is still suing Cash Money for $51 million in a case that is reportedly “hostile,” according to sources. Tha Carter V’s long-awaited release remains in limbo.
