Logic & Jessica Andrea Confirm Split

Posted by Unknown on 5:39 PM

Logic is breaking his silence about his split.

Following reports last week, the Maryland rapper and his estranged wife Jessica Andrea issued a joint statement about their breakup. “We have come to the loving conclusion that we are better as friends,” they said, before asking for privacy during the breakup.

The former couple also addressed online speculation. “It’s very simple,” they added. “It just didn’t work out. There is no anger involved. No fighting, no cheating, no nothing. We love each other and will continue to support each other for the rest of our lives.”

Logic and Jessica later asked fans not to be sad or choose sides. Instead, they urged supporters to be gleeful about the split. “Be happy that we could peacefully end this chapter of our relationship, beginning a new one full of love and happiness,” they wrote. “There will be no displays of anger or hatred that tear people apart; the public will not be made to choose sides.”

Finally, they added: “There are no sides, there is just us. Two people who loved each other in marriage and will continue to love each other for the rest of our lives.”

Andrea, a social media personality-singer, fueled breakup rumors when she unfollowed Logic on Instagram last week. She recently followed him back and posted their joint statement, to which Logic replied: “Best friends forever! I love you.” Now, Logic is no longer following Andrea on the social media platform.

The exes married in 2015 and they do not have any children.

While Logic’s relationship crumbled, his professional life is at a high point. His new mixtape, Bobby Tarantino II, topped the Billboard 200, and now, Logic has 10 songs on the Hot 100, including “Everyday” (No. 29) and “44 More” (No. 46), which made it into the Top 50.

Additionally, Logic has “Indica Badu” (No. 56), “Contra” (No. 60), “Overnight” (No. 68), “Midnight” (No. 74), “Wassup” (No. 83), “Yuck” (No. 87), “BoomTrap Protocol” (No. 97), and “Warm It Up (“No. 98) also on the chart.

Up next, Logic is heading out on the “Bobby Tarantino Vs. Everybody Tour,” which is slated to run from June 8 in Boston through Aug. 3 in St. Louis.
