New Music: King Combs feat. Chris Brown – ‘Love You Better’

Posted by Unknown on 10:21 PM

Christian “King” Combs teams up with Chris Brown on “Love You Better,” a collaboration that pays homage to hip-hop’s past.

Over a sample of Schoolly D’s 1985 classic “P.S.K. What Does It Mean?” Diddy’s 19-year-old son delivers sweet nothings to his ride-or-die chick. “I know you still think about it,” he raps. “When the people doubted / I was the one that you stuck around wit’.”

Breezy handles the chorus, singing about his own lady friend. “You’re the only one for me,” he sings. “You’re the only one I need / Can’t nobody make me feel / The way you’re making me feel.”

If the Schoolly D sample sounds familiar, it might be due to the fact that it was famously used on Case’s “Touch Me Tease Me” and The Notorious B.I.G.’s “B.I.G. Interlude.” The track also kicks off with a Kool Keith sample from 1988’s “Ease Back” by Ultramagnetic MC’s, vocals that also appear on Nas’ 1996 banger, “Take It In Blood.”

This is just the latest Breezy track to surface. Earlier today, Brown shared a snippet of “Side Ni**a of the Year.” He’s also been in the studio with Jacquees working on a joint mixtape.
