Iggy Azalea, Busta Rhymes, and Missy Elliott won’t be the only rappers starring in Super Bowl ads. Cardi B is expected to appear in a commercial for Amazon, which will air during the big game.
To prepare for Sunday’s clip, Amazon unveiled a teaser claiming that Alexa lost her voice. The company crisis prompts CEO Jeff Bezos to call in some celebrity replacements. Enter: Cardi B, actor Anthony Hopkins, actress Rebel Wilson, and chef Gordon Ramsay.
In separate teasers, each star opens up an Amazon box containing a headset. “Oh my God,” laughs Bardi in her clip. “For real? I got it, though. I got it. Oh my God. That’s so funny. Let’s get it started!”
In addition to Cardi, Iggy Azalea will appear in a commercial for Monster Products, while Busta Rhymes and Missy Elliott team up in a joint spot for Doritos and Mountain Dew.
Justin Timberlake is prepping for the Super Bowl, as well. Two days after dropping his album Man of the Woods, the pop superstar is slated to perform during the halftime show. It will be his first time on the stage since his infamous 2004 wardrobe malfunction incident with Janet Jackson.
