Breezy’s prolific streak continues. On the heels of the 57-track deluxe edition of Heartbreak on a Full Moon, Chris Brown unwraps another gift for fans with “Him or Me.”
Featuring sped-up vocal samples, the mellow track allows Brown to sing about an ill-fated relationship with agony. “Try to drink away the misery, too drunk, too angry,” he sings. “Gotta come clean to figure it out / She cheated.”
Posting the ultimatum track on Instagram, Brown said it was all about sharing his feelings through passionate songwriting. “people don’t really know how much this is a passion and purpose for me to create and express emotion,” he wrote. “I put out music because you accept whatever gift I may have… BUT THE GIFT IS ONLY CREATED BY YOU!”
It’s been a productive year for Breezy, who earned 40 RIAA plaques in 2017. He is now prepping to co-star in Nick Cannon’s indie basketball film She Ball.
