Forever young. Last night, JAY-Z celebrated his 48th birthday with Beyoncé in New York City, where they enjoyed a night out amidst some paparazzi flashes.
The Carters reportedly took over Angelika Film Center in Soho for a private screening of Wonder Wheel, a new drama directed and written by Woody Allen, starring Jim Belushi, Juno Temple, Justin Timberlake, and Kate Winslet.
Hov, dressed in a dapper Gucci Signoria suit and DJ Clark Kent’s Nike Air Force 1 low top sneakers, and Bey, in Versace’s “Unity” dress and matching leather pumps, stunted for the paparazzi on their way out. Inside of an elevator, Hov allowed the paps to snap some photos. “Hurry up. Come get it,” he said, before holding the door open for flicks.
The “Unity” on display comes after a major year for the Carters. In June, they welcomed twins Rumi and Sir to their family, which already includes Blue. Hov, who released his 13th album 4:44 this year, also recently discussed the importance of his marriage and revealed that he and his wife had been working on a joint project before embarking on solo endeavors.
“We were working on material together and it became LEMONADE,” he said. “She went off and did her thing and it was like, it just felt like she should go first and she should share her truths with the world. It wasn’t based on, ‘I have to say something because of this album.’ It wasn’t even like that. It was just really honest.”
