Logic Thanks Drake for ‘Paving the Way’

Posted by Unknown on 7:24 PM

Logic gives thanks.

Just a few days before Thanksgiving, the Maryland MC is showing his gratitude to Drake. Speaking directly to the 6 God, Young Sinatra explained why he’s so grateful.

“I want to say thank you for paving the way for me, because now I’m paving the way for young’ns under me,” he told Montreality. “It’s just really crazy. Your music has taught me so much. When I thought I needed to be this rapper just rapping all the time. You said, ‘Nah, you can rap, you can spit those bars, and you can sing, and you can be yourself.’ I don’t think I’ve ever gotten the chance to say this, dude, but if you see this, Drake, thank you for paving the way for me to be the best me that I can be. I appreciate that.”

This isn’t the first time that Logic has shown appreciation for Drizzy. in February, Bobby Tarantino tweeted his respect for the OVO leader. “I just wanna take a moment and say how much I respect and fuck with @Drake he has opened the door for so many artists myself included,” he wrote. “A lot of people are scared to show love to one another. Or only do so if one person is putting the other on. A lot of people are just plain out bitch made when it comes to showing love and respect. And drake has inspired me to be myself regardless of other who may come at you.”

Logic has a lot to be thankful for this year. His Alessia Cara and Khalid-assisted single “1-800-273-8255” has become his most successful song to date. After peaking at No. 3 on the Hot 100, it was recently certified 3x platinum.

3x Platinum! Thank you.
