Floyd Mayweather elicited a lot of excitement when he announced that he was officially coming out of retirement to fight Conor McGregor, but it turns out the fight is nowhere close to being made, according to UFC chief Dana White.

According to TMZ Sports, White says the superfight is “nowhere near being done” and reports of a June 10th target date are false.  White says the two sides are just as a far apart as they’ve been for months.

As I previously reported, White suggested Mayweather and McGregor each get $25 million and split the pay-per-view buys, while Mayweather suggested he get $100 million, McGregor takes $15 million and a cut of the pay-per-view money.  Obviously, there’s a big difference between the two offers and White says it hasn’t gotten any better.

White says, “There is no target date whatsoever.”
