Silento, the kid behind the viral hit “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae),” is currently stuck in the United Arab Emirates after reportedly missing two shows he was booked to perform at.

The promoter who’d booked the teen for the two gigs, Abdel Halim, said that Silento simply didn’t show up for either one, and went through a UAE court to sue him for $85k. Because of Halim’s win, a judge placed a travel ban on Silento until the matter is resolved. He is forced to surrender his passport to the court until such time.
A legal rep for the rapper says he “did not cancel any shows at all.” In the meantime, a fan has created a GoFundMe with the goal of $100k to help Silento.
