NBA: Joakim Noah To Reportedly Be Suspended 20 Games For Using Banned Supplement

Joakim Noah has reportedly tested positive for using an over the counter supplement that is banned in the NBA. It must not have been too bad of an infraction however because according to a source, if the new collective bargaining agreement that kicks in next season was already in place, Noah would not have been penalized.

Noah hasn’t played since February 4th anyway, then had surgery on his left knee so the suspension really won’t impact him in a major way. Noah will be suspended for 10 games this season and then the first 10 games of the 2017-18 season, according to the source.

Noah and Knicks fans can only hope next season goes much better for him after signing a four year, $72 million dollar deal last summer. He was only averaging 5.0 points and 8.8 rebounds in 46 games, not what you want from someone making $18 million for the season.
