According to documents obtained by Bossip, a federal grand jury has decided to prosecute the podcast host for charges of felon in possession of a firearm and firearm purchase through interstate commerce.

Tax was arrested in January after his DNA was found on the 9 mm Kel-Tec semiautomatic handgun that was used to kill Ronald McPhatter (Troy Ave’s bodyguard) in an Irving Plaza green room last May.

Last summer, the gun was found in the mini-van used to transport Troy Ave to the hospital after Troy inadvertently shot himself in the leg on the night of the shooting. Troy has since pled not guilty to second-degree murder and his other charges in the case.

The minimum sentence for a felon in possession of a firearm is one year and the maximum sentence is 10 years. Taxstone is currently being held without bail.
