University of Washington mens basketball player, Malik Dime, could be in some serious trouble after he slapped two fans from the opposing team during a game at Colorado last night. Dime was being heckled by fans, which was ironic in the first place since he didn’t actually play in the game due to injury. According to Dylan & Brian, the two fans in question, Malik was not happy with the way they were heckling him and at halftime, things went to another level.

“We were talking the usual game talk with the players like we usually do,” Dylan told BSN Denver. “Malik looked over at us at one point and said, ‘I’m gonna come over there and slap the sh*t out of you.’ We didn’t think that was real so we just laughed, and then at the end of the half, he came over to us and pretended like he was giving me a handshake and I reached out and he pulled back and slapped me in the face and the follow through hit the person sitting right next to me, which was Brian.”

“I thought it was a real handshake,” Brian said. “He came over with a windup, it was a hard hit. It’s a double face, there’s no way around that.”

For what it’s worth, the two guys really didn’t seem too upset about it and in fact were joking about it like it was nothing.

Dime reportedly did go back to the students and apologize to them. Washington coach, Lorenzo Romar said after the game that he was aware of the situation but didn’t know all the details.

Despite apologizing, Dime is likely looking at a fairly lengthy suspension. You just can’t go after fans in the crowd because they heckled you. However, maybe this will also be a lesson to annoying fans who think they can get away with anything.
