A day after being arrested for being linked to the Irving Plaza shooting, Taxstone has been arraigned and is being held on bail set at $500K.
According ot a police complaint, Tax was arraigned in federal Manhattan court on Tuesday after his DNA showed up all over the gun used to kill Troy Ave’s bodyguard, Ronald McPhatter, in an Irving Plaza green room shooting last May. The weapon was a 9-millimeter Kel-Tec semiautomatic handgun.
Although he was only charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, Taxstone listened to Assistant District Attorney Hagan Scotten as he accused him of killing McPhatter in court on Tuesday. “He had a gun in his hand and he murdered someone.”
According to DNAInfo, prosecutors “used statements that [Taxstone] made on his podcast, including times he repeatedly mocked Troy Ave” during the arraignment.
