Since Kidd Kidd joined the G-Unit ranks in 2011, some may have forgotten how strong of a solo artist he is, and how much star potential he has.

If you need a refresher, check out his new video for the song ‘2 Heaters,’ off his forthcoming Peanut From Mazant EP.

In it, the New Orleans spitter shows what life on the road is like, going from place to place in a van and partying with his crew in hotel rooms.

Lyrically, Kidd Kidd uses a slow but incredibly solid flow to express his connection to the streets and his overall lifestyle.

“No bass in my speakers / Scuff marks on my sneakers / Mark the Franklins like Aretha / I’m a cake baker like Anita / Take your girl and turn her like Tina / I hope you ain’t afraid to die shit, me either,” he spits.

In an interview last month, the 33-year-old talked about today’s rap game and said very few people rhyme about their real lives.

“I feel like there’s no more real rap going on,” said Kidd Kidd while speaking to Hip-HopDX. “Everybody is rapping about a world they’re not actually living. Not to say that I can’t do it, but I’ve never been that type of n—-. I want people to know that what I’m talking about is real, ’cause I live by that.”
