Kanye West has checked out of UCLA Medical Center after being admitted nine days ago for what his doctor called temporary psychosis.
According to TMZ, The Life of Pablo creator left the hospital with his wife Kim Kardashian and Dr. Michael Farzam, the physician who gave him that initial diagnosis. The celebrity site also confirmed that Ye is now recovering at home with Kim and their two children.
As we previously reported, music industry insiders and those close to the rapper said the anniversary of his mother’s death, which was Nov. 20, may have triggered his breakdown and made him cancel the remaining dates of The Saint Pablo Tour.
In addition, Kim hasn’t been able to accompany her husband on tour and provide her usual emotional support, since she was recovering from getting violently robbed in Paris.
On top of all that, Ye was suffering from sleep deprivation and dehydration — creating the perfect storm for him to have a breakdown.
From here, the 39-year-old will continue to seek psychological and medical treatment and it’ll probably be a while before he resumes his career at full speed.
