Bobby Shmurda Still Facing Charges In Prison Knife Case

Earlier this year, Bobby Shmurda took a seven year plea deal in his gang conspiracy and weapons case.

But he still has more charges to clear up. In June of 2015, Shmurda’s female friend passed him a sharp object during a Rikers Island visit. Bobby was caught with the shank, and charged with promoting prison contraband, perjury and criminal possession of a weapon.

Those charges were separated from his conspiracy and weapons case, and Shumrda was in court yesterday to face them.

The DA offered Bobby a plea deal of 1.3 to four years in state prison, which would likely run concurrent to his seven years on the original charges.

According to Bossip, Shmurda was reluctant to take the deal.

Maybe that’s because the 22-year old had expressed regret after taking the gang conspiracy and weapons plea, and he angrily claimed he was pressured into the seven year deal by his lawyer when he was sentenced in October.

Things were more subdued yesterday between Bobby and his new attorney.

“I don’t want you to get more time than you already have,” lawyer Paul London was heard telling Shmurda in court. “If we’re not able to work out a resolution, then we’ll start discovery and head for trial.”
