Last month, Lil Yachty and Soulja Boy had a little spat.
It started over a girl, and fades were offered.
It’s since run its course.
Yachty addressed the fued on 97.9 The Box, explaining he just couldn’t take Soulja Boy seriously, and suspects Soulja was just coming for him to get his name out.
“It was so stupid … That was not a rap beef. I didn’t take that serious … He took it serious but nobody else took that serious,” he says.
“I’d like to clear up the fact that that was not a beef … and it wasn’t fake,” Boat continued. “A lot of people thought it was a publicity stunt. I don’t need a publicity stunt, bro. That’s not me being cocky. I don’t even want to be in the public like that … But if you ever noticed, every time [Soulja] did it, he promoted something.”
While Yachty seems very calm and genuine in the interview, it also seems like the master troll was poking at Soulja with his measured but condescending words.
