Travis Scott Names Hip Hop’s 2 Best Artists (& His Biggest Inspiration)

Travis Scott is covering this month’s Paper mag as “Hip Hop’s New Rock Star.’

In the pages, Laflame spoke on Kendrick Lamar and Andre 3000, Birds Of The Trap Sing Mcknight contributors whom Scott lists as the two best in the game.

“I look at them as the best artists, so for them to come to my world and rap with me is crazy,” he said of K.Dot and 3 Stacks.

But when it comes to the artist who’s has the most influence on him, Scott goes in another direction, talking up Kid Cudi.

“He was like the guy that could rap, make a hook, and make a beat, and do a video and show you the life. That’s what I strive to be,” the 24-year-old said of Cudi.

Cudi’s been having a rough time lately, so hopefully he can find some comfort in Scott’s nice words
