On May 19th, April Jace returned home to her Los Angeles residence. The beautiful mother two had no idea it would be her last time walking through the threshold of her door. Once inside, April was shot in the back by her husband Micheal Jace. After he then proceeded to let off two more shots. The two bullets hit both of her legs. In the midst of the horrific incident, the couple’s two very young children were front row to the murder of their beloved mother. After it all Micheal Jace would leave a shocking voice mail and messages about the shooting on his father in laws phone. In a recording released by the Los Angeles Fire Department he stated.

“My son-in-law called me and texted me and said come get the kids because he shot April, our daughter.”

Hollywood is no stranger to domestic violence but this one has a much more bitter taste. Most used to think that domestic violence isn’t that serious and only reaches to this kind of level once in a blue moon. But as we know today domestic violence is a common issue among people from all walks of life. It’s almost as if society is numb to it. Athletes, Rappers, Actors, Actress, heck even the grocery boy who bags your food on your way out of ShopRite can be going through a domestic violence situation.

As with most domestic violence cases this one too had situations which lead up to the horrible day of May 19th. The couple had a history of domestic disturbances. Not only that Micheal Jace had domestic violence instances in the past. In a court case in 2005 a close friend to Jennifer Bitterman, one of the mothers of Micheal Jaces children, Maria De Le Vargas testified an account of a domestic dispute between the two.

Apparently Jace “choked and hit” his wife. He then “slammed her against the wall while their infant child screamed in his crib next to her”.

The things people go through because of the rage which lies in other. So sad. R.I.P. To April Jace, you surely are being missed.
