Timbaland has kept fans waiting for the release of new music for quite some time now. After promising fans new music was on the way back in November, it appears the wait is finally over. Late on Wednesday, Timbaland announced his latest project, ‘King Stays King’ mixtape will be released Christmas Day.

The ‘King Stays King’ mixtape will include features from artists like Young Thug, Rich Homie Quan and Mila J but will also feature a never-heard before Aaliyah track. Timbaland spoke about the project saying, “It’s been a while since I’ve been able to give the world some new music,” he continued “I’ve spent a lot of time working on this project and I am just looking forward to giving my fans some dope sounds to close out the years.”
In addition to the project, Timbo will be embarking on a 20-city club tour starting in January to support the tape. This new mixtape also doubles as the lead up to his next LP, Textbook Timbo, which is set to drop early in 2016.
