Floyd Mayweather has gotten flack from PETA and Chrissy Teigen after posting a picture with his pet tiger that he was given as a gift. Mayweather decided to speak out and set everybody straight.
After Mayweather revealed his new pet — Teigen went to Twitter and wrote, “I’m okay with people having pet tigers because it increases their chances of being eaten by a tiger.”
Mayweather appeared on FightHype.com and fired off some not-so-subtle insults right back at her.
“John Legend’s wife said something? I’ve never had anything negative to say about John Legend. I really don’t even know what his wife does.”
He continued, “I never seen John Legend’s wife in my life. And if I did I probably just don’t remember it.”
Per usual, Mayweather says talking about him gets people exposure and their name in the public eye.
Mayweather also set the record straight on his plan with the tiger. “I’m not getting a tiger to let my tiger run around the city and bite people. We’re trying to help save tigers.”
Mayweather says he joined a team in Moscow that’s trying to save tigers.
