NFL: Jerry Jones Defends Greg Hardy’s Comments About Tom Brady’s Wife: ‘She’s Very Attractive’

Dallas Cowboys defensive end Greg Hardy held his first media session after his four-game suspension from a domestic violence incident with his then girlfriend.  He avoided talking about the incident but said he would come out “guns blazin” for the game against the Patriots, and made comments about hoping Tom Brady’s wife, supermodel Gisele Bundchen and her sister would be in attendance.  Normally a team owner wouldn’t defend such comments but we’re talking about Jerry Jones here…

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was made aware of convicted woman-beater Greg Hardy saying he was going to come out “guns blazin’” in his Dallas debut against the Patriots on Sunday. An egregious choice of words, considering he tossed his then-girlfriend on a futon filled with automatic weapons.

“Oh my goodness,” Jones told Sports Illustrated at the NFL owners’ meeting when told of the comments by SI.com before pausing and continuing.

“Well, you’re not allowed to have guns on the football field. We all know that’s just a way of expressing yourself. I hope his guns are ablazin’.”

And Jones did not seem offended at all by Hardy’s creepy comments about hoping to see Tom Brady’s wife, Gisele Bundchen, and her sister at the game this week. In fact, he might be interested in seeing the Brazilian supermodel, too.

“When I saw him marry her [Gisele], Tom went up in my eyes 100 percent,” Jones said. “She’s very very attractive, and it shows what an outstanding individual Tom is.”
