According to sources close to MTV and the VMAs, the television network loved Kanye West’s speech during the show last night so much they are considering him to be the host for next year’s award show.

Last night Kanye West was honored with the Video Vanguard Award, and naturally Kanye went over the 2-minutes he was allotted for an acceptance speech. MTV called his 12-minute speech “entertaining” and directed the control room to stand down when they were ready to cut him off.
According to TMZ, because they loved it so much a head-huancho at MTV met up with Kanye in his dressing room and proposed the idea of Mr. West hosting next year’s show. The source revealed Kanye hosting is “on the table.”
