Since Tha Carter V is being held up by the powers that be at Cash Money Records, Lil Wayne has since begun work on the Free Weezy Album, which will be released for free for the fans. After teasing it for the last few months, Tunechi reportedly told the crowd during his performance at Miami’s Red Bull Guest House this past Saturday that FWA will be dropping in April.
The show, which was put together by Tunechi and his crew, also included sets by Mannie Fresh, Questlove and producer Hudson Mohawke, and was the first time Weezy and Mannie shared a stage in years.
