University of South Carolina students were told to seek shelter after a shooting broke out on their campus’ new Arnold School of Public Health grounds. The Columbia Police Department and the U.S. Marshal’s office are assisting in the investigation.

Carolina Alert has since said that students are now safe. Buildings that were on lock down, are now open. Reports state that the shooting was a murder-suicide attempt. No word on injuries. More details as they emerge.
