Medical students are watching TV show ‘Seinfeld’ to learn about Psychiatric Disorders. They are calling it “Psy-feld, ” ha ha very clever. The college doing this is Rutgers Medical School in New Jersey. The psychiatry professor there is Anthony Tobia. He is teaching his medical students about psychiatric disorders through showing the TV show ‘Seinfeld’. The students study the characters in the show Tobia says, “The students are required to watch two repeat episodes of the show a week on TBS and come to class ready to discuss the psychopathology “demonstrated” in each one. ” How fun! The professor argues that Seinfeld is hardly a show about nothing and has a lot to teach his students about psychiatry.

Can’t wait to see if any student scores less than an A in this class. Classes are becoming more fun every year. Thoughts on the Seinfeld class?
