NYPD Blasted By New York Times criticizing the actions of the NYPD. Wow did the NYPD really turn their back on Mayor Bill de Blasio while he was giving his speech? How disrespectful is that. The NYPD has accused Mayor de Blasio of siding with protesters. During the Funeral of murdered officer Rafael Ramos Saturday. Where is the United States going to be in the next few years as a country. It is appearing to be very divided vs United. Is the human race becoming a people of no morals and no respect? Why are all of these public officials publicly being disrespected? Just last week someone called president Obama a monkey and that made the news. What are your thoughts were the officers in the right?

The New York Times wrote, ““Mr. de Blasio isn’t going to say it, but somebody has to: With these acts of passive-aggressive contempt and self-pity, many New York police officers, led by their union, are squandering the department’s credibility, defacing its reputation, shredding its hard-earned respect.” The editorial continued, “They have taken the most grave and solemn of civic moments — a funeral of a fallen colleague — and hijacked it for their own petty look-at-us gesture. In doing so, they also turned their backs on Mr. Ramoss’ widow and her two young sons, and others in that grief-struck family.”
