It was only a couple months ago that one of sports most high profile couples got engaged on new years eve. How romantic? To bad the romance didn’t last forever. Rory Mcllroy and Caroline Wozniacki called off their engagement, and ended their three year relationship.
On Wednesday, Golf pro Rory Mcllroy publicly announced that he has called off his engagement to the beautiful tennis player. According to CNN, while sending out the invitations over the past weekend Rory realized that he wasn’t ready for “all that marriages entails.” He also stated “I wish Caroline all the happiness she deserves and thank her for the great times we’ve had. I will not be saying anything more about our relationship in any setting.” When asked again about the situation at the BMW PGA Championship in England, he replied “I think the statement really said it all this morning. It was mutual and amicable and we both thought it was the best for us, the best for both of us. Time to move on and I think I’ve said all that I need to say.” Well that looks like the end of “Wozilroy”.
