Times have surely changed. Colleges like the University of South Florida and Bryant University have officially banned graduating students from taking selfies during their graduating ceremony. They claim that the ceremonies are already long and don’t want it to be extended due to cell phone flicks. More info after the jump.
Just a few years back, people went to school and graduated for their families. Now, it’s like they only do it for the gram or vine. Despite the recent ban, many students didn’t plan on taking the pics, in fact 22-year-old Anthony Sanchez, a microbiology major at USF stated, “It put the idea in my head. I wouldn’t have thought of it until they said don’t do it.”
