In recent years, New York city has hosted an annual celebration called Fleet Week, to celebrate America’s sea services. Due to final budget cuts, the celebration did not happen last year. After being absent for one year, New York city’s fleet week is back in full effect.
Locals and tourist will have a chance to enjoy a week filled with fun and exciting events such as ship tours, parades and they will even get a chance to meet sailors. On Wednesday morning three Navy ships and two coast guards are scheduled to arrive at the New York harbor, with 1,500 services men participating. The week will run from May 21st until May 27th.
