Reebok & Rick Ross Make Amends, Is Endorsement Deal Back On?
Just when we all might have thought the profitable endorsement deal between the pioneer sneaker companyReebok and MMG President Rick Ross had come to an end? (We were all ready to throw away every last bit of Reebok we owned because of this), some surprising news rolls in today in the form of a photo, where Rick Ross and Reebok just might be back in business together. Swizz Beatz, another Reebok Ambassador and director took to his Instagram and posted a photo of himself, Rick Ross and Reebok CEO Uli Becker after their “positive energy” meeting. Read more on the story after the jump!

The news is equally as surprising, as Rick Ross’ signee Meek Mill has been on a “fu** Reebok” spree as of late, representing his brand Puma. For those of you that are lost, Rick Ross signed an endorsement contract with the sneaker brand Reebok, where they then dropped him due to an impulsive “date rape” lyric featured on Rocko’s UOENO track that sparked a consumer, executive and media frenzy against Ross. By the looks of this photo, Swizz Beatz has come to the rescue to join the two back together, where Reebok CEO Uli actually claims “Rick Ross is a great guy, he just has stupid advisers around him”. Well then.

The major issue here with die hard MMG fans, including artist Meek Mill, is that these corporate companies should not have the right to just dabble in and out of the Hip Hop culture and leave due to a simple mistake; all while making profit. Another point posed is that, at this point whether Ross is singed by Reebok or not, they are still gaining mass publicity and funds from having his name attached during the first contract deal. The solution? Since both brands are going to move forth and make money separately anyway, why not just make amends and make the money together? Only time will tell, as Ross was at one point was “ready to die for these Reeboks”. Check out the photo of Swizz, Ross and Uli above.
