Jamie Foxx, Will.i.Am, Anne Hathaway, Bruno Mars, & More To Star In ‘Rio 2′

Bruno Mars, Andy Garcia, Janelle Monáe, and Kristin Chenoweth will be join Jamie Foxx, will.i.am, Anne Hathaway, and Jesse Eisenberg for the production of Rio 2. The sequel is expected to be released on April 14, 2014 and will be directed by Carlos Saldanha. Rio was a huge hit back in 2011 and the director and crew are expecting the sequel to be just as successful. Read more below.

20th Century Fox has announced that Rio 2 will follow Blue, voiced by Eisenberg, and his wife Jewel, voiced by Hathaway, as well as their three children. Jewel then decides that she wants to head to the Amazon to raise to raise the children as “real birds.” Janelle Monáe will also be lending her voice to the soundtrack.
